Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, hosted the June Combat Training Readiness Conference yesterday. The senior duty officer, directors of all departments (sections), commanders of first-echelon units, and commanders of battalion- and company-level units attended the meeting to discuss recent combat readiness and exercise preparations. During the meeting, the responsible staff sections delivered special reports on “Analysis of Argumentation Fallacies and Strategic Communication” and “Procedures for Handling Military Vehicle Accidents.” Through argument analysis and exchanges of experience, the reports helped officers identify logical fallacies and strengthen their understanding of military vehicle accident response and risk control, thereby enhancing overall force effectiveness.
Commander Cheng stated that, in view of the current enemy threat environment, all units must rigorously implement confidentiality measures, strengthen information security management, and conduct enhanced security checks and maintain close situational awareness regarding personnel in key positions and sensitive units to ensure the security and integrity of the force. He also directed commanders and supervisors to carry out all duties in accordance with the law and uphold integrity and self-discipline in order to maintain unit discipline.
Finally, Commander Cheng noted that, as new force structures are established and new weapon systems are progressively fielded, all units must remain fully aware of mission requirements and practical training needs. Through realistic operational validation, they should gradually establish a common operational picture and enhance joint operational effectiveness. He further emphasized that “Personnel Are Combat Power.” Units must continue to perform well in personnel selection, training, employment, and retention, while strengthening talent development and career management through cross-functional assignments. These efforts will build personnel's professional capabilities and lay a solid foundation for the sustainable development and overall combat capability of the Military Police.
