1. Method and Scope of Authorization
In order to facilitate the wider usage of the information online, all information and materials published on the official website of the R.O.C. Military Police Command are provided to the public on a non-exclusive, non-commercial, and sub-authorizable basis, to the extent that such information and materials are protected by copyrights. Users may reproduce, adapt, edit, publicly transmit, or otherwise utilize the materials for the development of products or services (referred to as “value-added derivatives”) without limitation of time or place. Such authorization is not revocable, and the user is not required to obtain authorization in writing or otherwise from the Command, yet the source of the license shall be indicated at the time of use.
2. Notes on Related Matters:
(1) The scope of this authorization shall be limited to copyright protection but not to other intellectual property rights, including but not limited to the provision of patents, trademarks, and governmental logos.
(2) In regard to whether or not personal data disclosed by the parties themselves or by order of the law may be collected, processed, or utilized, users are required to plan and implement measures required by law in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act.
(3) Certain parts of audio-visual materials, images, music scores, project writings, or other publications may be used only with consent as specifically stated by the Agency.
3. It should be noted that no infringement of the moral rights of any third parties (including the right of expression of names and the right to prohibit improper alteration) shall be permitted.
4. The use of the information and materials provided through this authorization shall not involve any malicious alterations of the related information, and the user shall be liable for any civil and criminal liabilities in the event of any discrepancy between the information displayed after use and the original information and materials.
5. The authorization of the Website does not grant the user the status of recommending, endorsing, or approving the value-added derivatives on behalf of the Command.
