Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, recently inspected the ongoing concentrated training of a specialized sniper team. In addition to reviewing the team members' training progress, he commended them for their hard work. Commander Cheng stated that snipers constitute a vital asymmetric warfare capability. He encouraged the participating personnel to make full use of the training opportunity, refine their individual marksmanship and professional knowledge, apply their strengths during the evaluation, demonstrate the results of rigorous training, and bring honor to both their units and themselves.
Commander Cheng emphasized that a sniper embodies a combination of exceptional physical fitness, technical skill, and patience. He encouraged the team members to demonstrate mutual support and cooperation, develop strong team coordination, and rigorously observe training safety. He also reminded officers to place importance on after-action reviews and introduce scientific training and data-analysis mechanisms as the basis for further improvement. These measures will progressively enhance shooting accuracy and consistency and help build a critical asymmetric warfare capability.
