To strengthen awareness of national security protection and develop a dense network for sustainable social stability, the Military Police Command recently held the “2026 Northern Region Reserve Military Police Ho-Sung Intelligence Work Seminar and Discussion” at the 205th Command. The event was hosted by Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang. Attendees included Hsu Chia-Fu, President of the Republic of China Reserve Military Police Ho-Sung Association; Honorary President Peng Jui-Te; chairpersons and important cadres of Reserve Military Police Ho-Sung associations from areas north of Hsinchu, as well as Matsu and Hualien; military police team commanders; and others.
During the meeting, reports were first presented on the founding spirit and origins of the Republic of China Reserve Military Police Ho-Sung organization, the current forms of CCP infiltration against our country, and key points of preventive work. Through the work seminar and awareness briefing, participants were informed that infiltration methods have become increasingly diverse in recent years. They have developed from traditional contact into the gradual establishment of connections through social media platforms, communication software, online communities, and various forms of exchange. These methods are used to obtain information, and even to manipulate public opinion, spread false information, which affects public morale and social trust.
Commander Cheng emphasized that national security means protecting the country from external or internal threats, while social stability means maintaining order, trust, and the normal operation of daily life. On the existing foundation of military police teams in various locations, horizontal links with the organizational network of reserve military police can establish a stabilizing force within our society, thereby strengthening social security awareness while jointly safeguard national security and social stability.
