Commander Hosted Military Police Command March Combat Training Conference, Enhancing Force Readiness

Reported by: Yeh Hsuan-Yu / Summary Report

Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, hosted the March Combat Training Readiness Conference yesterday, convening directors of all departments (sections) and commanding officers of first-echelon units to participate jointly. The meeting focused on recent matters concerning combat training readiness, operational duties, and internal management. During the session, the security department also delivered a special briefing on the “Standard Operating Procedures for Classified Information Protection and the Precise Classification Marking of Sensitive Information,” reminding all units to strictly implement accurate data classification and marking. When handling various types of sensitive information, personnel are required to adhere rigorously to the relevant operational procedures, cultivate sound confidentiality practices and operational discipline, and eliminate incidents of information leakage (or unauthorized disclosure).

Commander Cheng emphasized that combat readiness exercises constitute the foundation of military capability. All units should continue to refine training planning and readiness measures in accordance with mission characteristics. At the same time, following the allocation of new equipment, units must ensure proper inventory registration and management, thorough accounting of components and spare parts, and subsequent familiarization and operational training. In addition, specialized training and expanded training programs for mid- to high-level professional instructors should be implemented to enhance overall force capability and ensure a high state of readiness.

Furthermore, with the upcoming consecutive holidays of Tomb Sweeping Day, Commander Cheng stressed that “National Defense Readiness Knows No Holidays.” Personnel remaining on duty must rigorously enforce camp administration and regulations as well as combat readiness training, while balancing troop welfare and mission execution. He also reminded all units to closely monitor personnel morale, appropriately plan leave and activities, and incorporate risk management measures to ensure smooth and effective unit operations throughout the holiday period.
