Commander Meets with Senior Officers Approaching Retirement, Commending Their Dedicated Service

Reported by: Yeh Hsuan-Yu / Summary Report

Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, yesterday met with senior officers approaching retirement together with Major General Wu, Director of the Political Warfare Department, and presented individual commendation certificates in recognition of their conscientious fulfillment of duties and selfless dedication during their years of service. Commander Cheng stated that a military career is a precious journey in life. Although separation upon retirement is inevitable, the camaraderie forged through standing shoulder to shoulder and sharing both hardships and achievements will forever remain in their hearts.

Commander Cheng further noted that he hopes the retiring officers will continue to uphold the belief that “Once a Military Police officer, always a Military Police officer” after laying aside their uniforms, and to shine and contribute in the next stage of their lives. He also wished them success, health, and peace in their future lives. In addition, the unit arranged for designated personnel to explain retirement-related benefits, services, and confidentiality requirements following separation from service, thereby bringing the many years of shared struggle to a fulfilling conclusion while also helping them embark upon a brand-new journey in life.
