Lieutenant General Cheng, Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, hosted the "2026 Lunar New Year Greeting Ceremony" yesterday. He led high-ranking officers, various department (section) chiefs, and personnel from directly subordinated units in exchanging New Year blessings. He also expressed gratitude to the various combat readiness units for steadfastly guarding their posts during the New Year period, allowing the nation's people to celebrate the holiday in peace.
Commander Cheng stated that in the face of current enemy threats and increasingly frequent grey-zone harassment, Military Police units must accelerate the pace of training, become familiar with various new equipment acquired during the year, and continue to strengthen the objective of "high combat readiness" as a substantive combat capability. This demonstrates the defensive resolve for garrison operations, ensuring the enemy does not dare to rashly initiate conflict.
At the conclusion of the greeting ceremony, Commander Cheng affirmed the efforts and hard work of all colleagues over the past year. He encouraged them to continue upholding a positive attitude in the new year, striving for excellence on existing foundations to jointly create new achievements for the Military Police.
