Lieutenant General Cheng, Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, recently hosted the “Seminar on Enhancing Criminal Investigation Procedures,” which was attended by key leaders at all levels, military police battalion commanders, and heads of military investigative units. The meeting adopted a case-by-case discussion format to review various types of criminal case patterns, and to conduct discussions on the operational procedures for investigating major criminal cases as well as the handling procedures for violations of the Military Installation Safety Protection Act carried out by military police units, with the aim of establishing standard operating procedures and realizing the objective of lawful administration.
Commander Cheng emphasized that the military police bear the responsibilities of military judicial police, and that leaders at all levels must continuously refine their professional competencies and legal literacy, as well as become thoroughly familiar with all statutory procedures, in order to demonstrate the professional image of military police officers and personnel.
