Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of Military Police Command, presided over the “Seminar on Combat Training and Preparation and Han Kuang 41 Military Exercise” yesterday, which was attended by senior military officers, chiefs of divisions (section chiefs), commanders of first-level units and battalions (units). During the seminar, Commander Cheng firstly acknowledged the successful completion of the 10-day and 9-night Exercise under the premise of safety and efficiency, and thanked the officers and soldiers for their dedication to the Exercise, which demonstrated their solid combat capabilities and efficient execution of missions.
During the seminar, the attendees reviewed, provided feedback, and suggested ways to improve the performance of the various units at all levels and friendly units during the exercise, and proposed specific directions for eliminating obstacles encountered during the exercise, with the aim of improving the effectiveness of subsequent preparations and response. Through this seminar, it is hoped that the results of the live-fire exercises would serve as the cornerstone for continuous improvement of operational readiness and lay a solid foundation for strengthening the overall defense capabilities.
Commander Cheng commented that the Exercise validated a number of operational concepts and processes of transition between peacetime and wartime, fully demonstrated the decentralized command and management effectiveness and decision-making flexibility of the cadres at the grassroots level, and refined the response to critical situations to strengthen the overall defense capabilities of the garrison. Moreover, he pointed out that cadres at all levels should establish a consistent operational mindset and standardize tactical procedures to ensure that the entire unit perceives a consistent and unified operational picture, thus strengthening the overall effectiveness of mission execution.
