In recognition of the selfless dedication and loving spirit of mothers, Lieutenant General Cheng-Chen-Hsiang, Commander of Military Police Command, recently visited Yunlin District to commend Lin Shu-Fen, the mother of Sergeant Lin Chun-Chang, a squad leader of the Service Company. Mrs. Lin was named the “Exemplary Mother” of the Military Police Command for the year 2025 and was presented with a token of appreciation by the Commander in recognition of her noble motherly virtues.
Commander Cheng acknowledged that Lin had raised her children well and encouraged them to serve in the military. Her son, who is now a squad leader of the Service Support Company, has been recognized by officers at all levels for his outstanding performance. In addition, she has devoted herself to community service for many years, and has been enthusiastic about public welfare and caring for the underprivileged, which truly serves as an excellent example of motherhood and is well deserved for the honor.
The day of the commendation coincided with Lin Chun-Chang's birthday, Commander Cheng prepared a cake to send his blessings, making the scene heartwarming and touching. Lin Chun-Chang said that seeing his mother awarded as an exemplary mother on his birthday was the most precious and unforgettable birthday gift in his life, and it would also be an important motivation for him to continue to work hard and make contributions to the military.
Commander Cheng thanked Lin Shu-Fen for her support to the ROC Armed Forces and encouraged all colleagues to practice filial piety, to strive for honor and excellence in their positions, and to repay their mothers for their uncomplaining dedication by taking concrete actions. Furthermore, he extended his best wishes for a happy Mother's Day to all colleagues who are also mothers.
