Commander Visits Troops Stationed in Remote Northern Areas and Encourages Officers and Soldiers to Fulfill Their Duties

Reported by Lin Ruei-Yi / Summary report

Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of Military Command, recently visited the stationed units in the remote areas in the north. In addition to listening to the briefing on the mission and the report on the recent important work, the Commander also visited the office and barracks to understand the situation of the officers and soldiers in carrying out the mission and their living facilities. At the end of the visit, the Commander also took a group photo with the officers and soldiers and presented them with bonus money, expressing his encouragement to the officers and soldiers for their diligence and commitment to their duties and training.

Commander Cheng said that because of the remoteness of the location of these units, they may face certain inconveniences in terms of living and transportation, thus the cadres should strengthen their internal management, take proper care of the officers and soldiers, and sincerely care for their subordinates in order to build up a sense of unity and solidarity. In addition, Commander Cheng also called for strengthening of the safety and security drills in camps and the mechanism of patrols and management, thereby ensuring the overall safety of the camps.

Finally, Commander Cheng reminded the unit cadres that safety is the foundation of everything, and that all operations should be carried out in accordance with the procedures, steps and guidelines, as well as the implementation of management by walking around, thus safeguarding the safety of the troops.
