As the Chinese New Year is around the corner, Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Command, accompanied by Major General Tang, Director of Political Warfare, and the Director of Property Management, went to Kinmen Region to visit the Military Command on the outer islands. Apart from listening to the mission briefing and reports on recent key operations, Commander Cheng also visited the duty room and barracks to get a better understanding of the duty conditions and living facilities of the officers and soldiers. Finally, he took a group photo with the officers and soldiers and presented them with a group gratuity, motivating them to fulfill their duties and train with dedication.
Commander Cheng said that due to the remote location and harsh weather conditions, the units on the outer islands are facing more difficulties in living and transportation. He also pointed out that cadres should strengthen internal management, take good care of officers and soldiers, and sincerely care for their subordinates in order to foster cohesion and morale. He also urged to enhance the safety drills and patrol mechanisms in the camp to ensure the overall safety of the camp.
Lastly, Commander Cheng reminded cadres of all units to consistently educate officers and soldiers to maintain a high level of vigilance and awareness of enemy intelligence, as well as to strengthen the concepts of confidentiality and espionage in order to avoid the leakage of classified information, thereby safeguarding the security of the troops.
