As the Chinese New Year is approaching, Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Command, recently visited the Military Police in the Northern Region to extend his greetings and give guidance on the work of the troops. He wished the officers and soldiers a happy holiday in advance and encouraged the cadres at all levels to keep on improving their professional skills, thus nurturing excellent professionals for the troops.
Commander Cheng also urged colleagues to put themselves in the same shoes as each other and to be friendly and accommodating, thereby creating a harmonious living environment. In addition, he reminded all officers and soldiers to pay attention to their personal conduct and behavior during the Chinese New Year holidays, complying with the requirements of military discipline (law and order). When going out to visit relatives and friends, they should pay attention to driving safety, develop the concept of defensive driving, stay away from gambling, alcohol and drugs, and refrain from engaging in any improper activities.
In addition, cadres on duty in various units should implement management by walking around to eliminate risk factors that jeopardize safety, thus maintaining the normal operation of the units and safeguarding the safety of the troops.
