To strengthen road safety and traffic precautions, Military Police Command hosted the “road safety and defensive driving seminar” yesterday and invited Professor Chang Wen-Song from Central Police University to deliver a course. In a speech by Commander Lieutenant-General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, he highlighted that the key points of road safety should be focused on whether the discipline can be implemented thoroughly. Through a speech that introduces the concepts in simple ways, he hoped to instill the correct concepts and methods deep into everyone’s mind so that all colleagues not only can ensure smooth duty implementation but also use the road safety knowledge when driving private cars during their holidays.
During the process, Chang Wen-Song analyzed potential risks of road traffic through actual cases. With the actual cases of “paying attention to signs and roadside fences”, “fixed visual impairment”, and “mobile visual impairment”, officers and soldiers learned correct road safety concepts. In addition, Chang Wen-Song’s vivid and vigorous lecture also received warm feedback at the site; all the participants joined in discussion proactively.
In the end, Commander Cheng thanked Chang Wen-Song for helping officers and soldiers learn precious road safety related knowledge through lively case study. He also expected all colleagues to strictly follow traffic rules in the future, cherish their lives, respect other people’s lives, and work together to create good traffic environment.
