Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, visited the Military Police units in the Northern Region yesterday. In addition to inspecting the exercises and the readiness of combat units, he also expressed his affirmation and commendation of the hard work of the officers and soldiers in their combat training, and urged them to maintain their meticulousness and pragmatism, and to implement the training in order to strengthen their defense and combat capabilities.
Commander Cheng said that all units should implement combat-oriented training to strengthen the ability of garrison battle units to respond to emergencies. In addition to educating officers and soldiers to familiarize themselves with their own missions and tactical positions, cadres should also strengthen command procedures in order to cope with the ever-changing conditions on the battlefield and to take precautions in case of emergencies.
Lastly, Commander Cheng reminded cadres of the recent heavy workload of the troops at all levels, that they should carry out management by wandering around, getting to know the duties, emotions, and environment of officers and soldiers, as well as keeping track of new recruits and counseling cases, in order to facilitate coordination. Moreover, all units should constantly provide correct education to officers and soldiers on the concepts of military discipline and legal compliance, strengthening anti-fraud and anti-drink-driving campaigns, and eliminating cases of violation of military discipline in order to safeguard the honor of the Military Police together.
