Commander Presides Over Combat Training and Preparation Meeting, Urging for Security Reinforcement

Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command,recently presided over the Combat Training and Preparation Meeting, convening senior officers, division chiefs (group leaders), and key cadres of each unit to attend the meeting. Apart from encouraging fellow officers to work hard on their combat training duties, he also emphasized that officers and soldiers should strengthen their awareness of security and defense, thereby ensuring the purity and safety of the troops.

In light of the ever-changing international situation, Commander Cheng pointed out thatcadres at all levels should adopt the perspective of “training with enemy intelligence”,integrating the threat of the enemy with the current situation to properly plan training objectives with a “combat-oriented” mindset, and conducting training in a strict and pragmatic manner to optimize various risk management and security control measures, thus enhancing the effectiveness of the training of the troops.

Finally, Commander Cheng emphasized that “manpower constitutescombat power”. He urged chief officers (supervisors) at all levels to demonstrate good leadership and command, strengthen internal management, demonstrate enthusiasm for service, proactively assist officers and soldiers in solving problems, foster a deeper sense of identity of the unit, and create a quality working environment,thereby ensuring the stable growth of the military force and effectively enhancing the overall combat capabilities of the troops.
