Commander Visits Northern Region for On-Site Inspection to Ensure Smooth Operation of Han Kuang Exercise

Reported by Huang Di-Ming/ Summary report

For the purpose of ensuring the smooth execution of the Han Kuang 40 Military Exercise, Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of the Military Police Command, led his staff and other major cadres of the operational management units to the northern region to carry out on-site reconnaissance a few days ago. He pointed out that the preparation of battlefield intelligence by cadres constitutes the essence and foundation of planning for defense operations. The commanders of each unit should understand the enemy's battle plan, troop strength and tactics, and evaluate the battlefield environment and enemy threats to reasonably judge the most probable actions of the enemy, and then make careful deployment of troop strength and firepower, thereby ensuring the effective execution of the defense operations.

Commander Cheng said that each mission unit should complete the preparation for the exercise in accordance with the planning points, adhere to the guiding principles of “real soldiers, real sites, real time, all personnel, all equipment”, and conduct exercises in a situation that is closest to the real battlefield to implement the actual combat-oriented training, as well as to verify the effectiveness of the coalition warfare in the actual military exercises, which will serve as a reference for the revision of the subsequent battle plan to strengthen the national defense resilience.
