With the aim of strengthening the functions and capabilities of cadres and non-commissioned officers, the Military Police Command organized a seminar on “Education for Non-Commissioned Officers’ Corps and Improvement of their Capabilities” yesterday, which was presided over by Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, Commander of Military Police Command. Commander Cheng encouraged the participants that cadres and non-commissioned officers constitute the main body of the army and are expected to enhance their professional skills and leadership abilities to become quality cadres of the army.
Taking a Serious Approach to Combat Training
Commander Cheng said that “training brings combat strength to the unit” and that every cadre should face training with a serious attitude and implement the concept of “living, learning, working and fighting together” to strengthen the three major confidences of the unit and to effectively foster cohesion.
Finally, Commander Cheng pointed out that non-commissioned officers, being the leaders of the troops, should reinforce their knowledge about their officers and soldiers, and uphold the attitudes of “emotional connection, empathy, and sincere care” to communicate with them. They should also strengthen their concepts of military law and discipline as well as make use of the organizational establishment to precisely control and also eliminate security risks and threats, thereby enabling a systematic and comprehensive management of the troops on a secure basis, allowing for effective implementation of orders and enhancing the overall combat capabilities of the troops.
