Commander of Military Police Command, Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang, visited the military police troop in the central of Taiwan yesterday for greetings of Chinese New Year and military discipline promotion. Other than caring officers and soldiers who have critical injury and sickness, he also recognized duties and training that the unit devoted to. Commander Cheng reminded Chinese New Year is around the corner and officers should be proud of being “military police” as well as pay attention on what to say and what to do, comply with laws and discipline, and strictly follow different barrack regulations and military discipline requirements to maintain military discipline and safety together.
Commander Cheng said there were incidents of driving under influence recently. Cadres should cite cases, continue promoting relevant military laws and discipline regulations, and establish correct concepts among officers and soldiers. Never hold the mentality of taking chances and never defy the law in order to maintain the honor of military police. In addition, units should also play effects of established organizations and keep close contact with family members in order to grasp movements of soldiers during holidays, eliminate incidents that damaged safety, and maintain combat capabilities of the troop.
Implementing combat preparation and training and sticking to the post
“No vacation for combat preparation among national forces.” Commander Cheng highlighted officers and soldiers who stay in the barrack for long holidays must not relax but should stick to the post, implement combat preparation and training, and perform duties and responsibilities of safeguarding home and country with actual actions to present combat capabilities and determination of military police safeguarding national security.
