Commander hosts a knowledge and competence counselling seminar and encourages solidarity

Reported by Huang Di-Ming/ Summary report

To strengthen competence in performing duties for political warfare cadres and promote practical tasks in the troop, Military Police Command hosted a knowledge and competence counselling seminar the other day. It was chaired by Commander, Lieutenant General Cheng Chen-Hsiang. Through recent important policy promotion and concrete work direction, he expected solidarity to implement orders and enhance work effectiveness.

Implementing management by walking around and making good use of established organizations

Commander Cheng highlighted cadres should make good use of the established organizations, implement management by walking around, strengthen their understanding and familiarity of officers and soldiers, and keep close contact with family members to fully monitor the status of personnel and carry out three-tier defense. Any safety concern should be reported timely through channels provided to effectively seize opportunities and ensure personnel safety.

Commander Cheng pointed out mental counselling and competence supervision is tasks of unsung heroes. Cadres should take an initiative to report any symptom of safety hazards among officers and soldiers to the main commander. When dealing with individual cases, show the caring and concern quietly to avoid labelling cases in order to protect the related parties’ personal information and privacy and gather team cohesion.
