Commander of Military Police Command, Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi, led important cadres, including staff offices, section chiefs, and main commanders of each garrison troops, yesterday to visit northern areas and implement field reconnaissance of tactics. Through familiarity of battlefield environment within the responsible area, everyone would be able to understand the tactical values of each key terrain and vital communication lines in order to adjust joint combat plans and effectively strengthen the effectiveness of garrison and combat.
Eliminate potential risks and establish emergency strategies
During the visit, they also went to Taipei Satellite Communication Center, Chunghwa Telecom, to listen to the presentation and discuss key infrastructure protection behaviors together. According to Commander Chou, the enemy’s situation and threat changed from time to time. We must hold an attitude of wide consideration when predicting enemy’s situation, and we should guess the methods of infiltration and damage done by the enemy’s secret service personnel to establish responding strategies and the support from friendly troops. He reminded units to strictly carry out personnel security checks in order to eliminate potential risks and effectively protect internal security.
In the end, Commander Chou emphasized the anticipation of deepening support and cooperation mechanism with the unit. He also reminded cadres to implement battlefield management and coordinate and communicate with friendly units regularly to establish practical and feasible supporting agreement. With annual drills, we should verify the action plans and find out obstacles of implementation. He encouraged subordinates to work hard on the main duty of combat training in order fully promote the goal of standing garrison forces.
