Commanding Officer of the Military Police Command and Lieutenant General, Chou, Kuang-Chi, supervised the barrack renovation planning and guide the units that steel shed design is not advisable to be used for the waterproof measures on the roof of the barracks; mission needs, such as commanding ground and air guard should be taken into considerations; and non-fixed facilities or regular construction of waterproof works should be adopted to effectively consider combat and living needs.
Maintaining the flexibility to adapt to needs and integrating with training objectives
Commanding Officer Chou pointed out that renovation planning should be closely integrated with the combat training targets of the troops; commanding system, arming stockpile, force deployment configuration should be considered comprehensively to reserve adequate space for training venues. Furthermore, flexible utilization future mission requirements should be enabled in the design to effectively enhance the flexibility of the unit and thus strengthen the operational functions of the troops.
Finally, Commanding Officer Chou emphasized that segregated and centralized management approach should be adopted for the living space of compulsory and voluntary military service in the future to increase living space, serve as incentives for recruitment, and facilitate internal management of the unit. In addition, he reminded the superior unit should assign the original stationed unit stage missions during the renovation period focus on strengthening military training missions so that officers and soldiers can maintain constant improvement on their duty functions.
