Commander Received a Visit by the Taoyuan District Court, Expecting the Strengthening of Exchanges and Collaborations

Judge and Chief Administrator Liu, Mei-Hsiang of the Taiwan Taoyuan District Courts led judicial apprentices in the “Selected Judges’ Pre-Office Internship Class 13, Selected Prosecutors’ Pre-Office Internship Class 5 as well as Judges and Prosecutor Class 62” to visit the Military Police Command for exchanges. During their visitation, Commander of Military Police Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi shall have a talk and exchange ideas with Judge Liu. Additionally, Judge Liu and the judicial apprentices will pay a visit to the Taipei City Police Department Forensics Science Center and the MP K-9 unit of Shilin.

During the exchange, Judge Liu complimented on the how well-educated the fellow military police officers were, stating that they are the backbone in maintaining the safety and security of the society. She eagerly hopes that through this visit, judicial apprentices can attain a deeper understanding of the role of a judicial military police officer, the missions of each unit, as well as the process and operation of every duty. Such understanding shall in turn facilitate judicial apprentices to dispatch in accordance with the law and direct military police in the investigation of a crime according to the investigation needs of each case as they serve in the court or in the prosecutor’s office in the future.              

Also, Commander Chou indicated that officers and cadres have always treated their roles of “Protector of the Public, Example to the Military Forces” as an honor. In making this statement, Commander Chou encouraged all subordinates to become better, to continue strengthening their personal skillsets required for their respective roles, as well as to accurately execute security maintenance tasks such as cracking down on drugs and gun control in accordance with the law. The Commander expected students to continue their positive interactions with the military police even after they have been sworn into office in the future so as to jointly serve the nation and the public to the best of their abilities.
