Commander Inspected the Preparation Status of the Security Maintenance Task Handled by the Security Guards, Requesting Absolute Training Safety

Commander of Military Police Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi  went over to the Pao Ching Barracks to inspect the Office of the President section during the weekend to attain a full grasp on the security maintenance preparation status performed by the security guards, where he reminded officers at all levels must schedule regular gun cleanup/gun check demonstrations, counter responses, CPR instructions and other group demonstrations in accordance with the type of missions that the unit is being tasked with. A training performance card must also be utilized for each cadre at the same time to verify one’s ability, thereby effectively ensuring that the officers’ and cadres’ familiarity with the missions as well as the execution procedures of each mission.

Commander Chou pointed out that since the areas which requires monitoring surrounding the Office of the President is a bit broad, officers must comprehensively evaluate cadre allocation and positioning as well as dispatch additional armed guards so as to enable flexibility in maneuvering in case when unforeseen circumstances arise while also strengthens the counter mechanisms in terms of dealing with incidences that poses a threat to security. Also, Commander Chou reminds all units that while executing interdiction equipment training, organization instructors and supervisory officers must demand subordinates to have adequate safety gear/equipment on and conduct supervision to make sure operational maneuvers/actions complies with the requirements of the standard, thereby ensuring the training safety of all personnel.

Lastly, Commander Chou indicated that officers should publicly praise and acknowledge the cadres who are tasked with critical duties such as flag raisin or guarding the front gate/front entrance in the Office of the President at appropriate times in order to cultivate a sense of honor that these cadres should have towards the crucial tasks they were given, which in turn shall stimulate cohesiveness and unity among the cadres. To properly take care of the cadres, Commander Chou also demanded all officers to perfect the barracks/dorm renovation project, which shall enhance the living spaces and living quality of the officers and cadres.
