Reported By Hung, Tzu-Yang/Summary Report
Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi personally received a visit yesterday by the Director-General of the Ministry of Justice Investigation Bureau (MJIB), Mr. Wang, Jun-Li, to conduct a project exchange/discussion. During the meeting, Director-General Wang pointed out that while working as a prosecutor for many years in the past, he has had plenty of positive interactions and experiences collaborating with military police officers on investigating drug and illegal firearm cases. Furthermore, practical experiences on tasks are strengthened through personnel training exchange and instructor reciprocity methods, which effectively elevated the unit’s investigative energy.
Commander Chou indicated the intelligence gathering tactics from CCP has become much more diverse in recent years, which greatly affects our national security. Since the MJIB and Military Police Command are both intelligence agencies of the nation, both of them shoulder the critical mission of counterintelligence. Aside from unscheduled intelligence exchanges based on their work relationship, they shall also deepen their collaboration efforts through Regional Security Protection Conferences, which shall then effectively counter any infiltration and damage caused by spies from the enemy nation. Commander Chou looks forward to continuing their partnership with the MJIB, working together closely to maintain national security.
