In order to show gratitude towards the effort demonstrated by the unit in combat preparation and training, Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant Huang, Chin-Tsai, accompanied by Director of Political Warfare Major General Yu and Supervisor Master Sergeant Chiu, went to inspect Chiayi Military Force on the 1st of April, where they conducted a seminar with the soldiers while also providing instructions.
Commander Huang indicated that a unit officer shoulders the responsibility of leadership, internal management, and educational training, and therefore it is necessary for the officer to proactively show concern for his/her colleagues as well as have a good grasp of their mental state and their adaptability to their living environment. Using one’s role as the leader, an officer shall foster a harmonious and “homey” atmosphere, which in turn allows for the unit to become more cohesive. Commander Hung also encouraged the officers and soldiers to properly utilize their spare time, stressing that one should conduct self-learning to as to acquire licenses or improve their own skillsets, thereby elevating their own competitiveness, strengthening the MP’s solid combat strength.
Lastly, aside from distributing group monetary bonuses, Commander Huang reminded all colleagues that since Tomb Sweeping Day is just around the corner, and also since that Military Police serves as the role model for all three national forces, therefore as a MP one shall always uphold a “self-discipline” attitude, to strictly abide by all requirements military discipline and laws so that they can secure the honor of the MP. In regards to the military police officers that violate the law, it is essential for an officer to maintain the attitude of “strict review, strict elimination” to weed out the bad and only keeping the good, which can then ensure the safety of the team and the honor of the MP.
