Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant Huang, Chin-Tsai led Sergeant Supervisor as well as other important officers in various regional commands to “LinYuan Training Ground” and “Tieh Wei Barracks” to inspect Category 2 Sniper Team of the 204 Command, Category 1 sniper from the Military Police Special Services Company, and 2021 1st Class of Specialized Weapon Shooting Training Team. The commander encouraged all colleagues to be consistent in training, that through strict and difficult demands one shall strengthen his/her concentration, resistance to pressure and stability in shooting, thereby exerting irreplaceable credible combat capability.
Commander Huang indicated that snipers are the key strength in a team, in which they act as an asymmetrical advantage in an asymmetrical warfare. Often times, a well-trained sniper is the key component to the success/failure of a battle. Therefore, a person who is responsible to be acting as a sniper is a person who has gone through a strict selection process and has attained unparalleled shooting competency. So, as a member of the training team, one shall accept the strict and difficult training laid before them, always being ready to exert his/her maximum combat effectiveness on the battlefield.
Commander Huang stressed that a sniper must be able to pass down his/her acquired knowledge, meaning that an experienced and skilled veteran sniper must lead new recruits and implement the training, thereby cultivating young bloods and enhancing their shooting competency. Shooting practice must be performed under strict regulations, in which one should always follow procedure, be in accord with the know-how, complete mission organization (including alerts and fire safety), execute training ground checkup and risk control. Implementation of training shall only be conducted when all safety concerns are out of the way.
Lastly, Commander Huang reminded all training team members to abide by all military discipline and laws/regulations, to be self-discipline and self-aware at all times, thereby ensuring the honor and cohesiveness of the unit.
