Commander Encouraged All Newly-Appointed Major Sergeants of All Levels, Strictly Maintaining Internal Management

Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant-General Huang, Chin-Tsai, accompanied by Major Sergeant Chiu, initiated pep-talks with all newly-appointed Major Sergeants of all levels, expecting and encouraging them through practical experience sharing and task instruction, noting the necessity of strict internal management as well as excellent leadership quality, thereby ensuring the smoothness of the unit’s missions.

Commander Huang indicated that officers are the backbone of the unit as well as the axis of combat preparation mission training. Therefore, officers and soldiers shall be together regardless of living, work, or training. Furthermore, officers shall lead by example, to watch out for the words spoken and the actions taken, to always abide by regulations so that one can be a role model to the soldiers. Also, as a leader, one shall encourage and communicate instead of scolding, to fully understand one’s subordinates, assist in problem solving any issues that soldiers may have. An officer should also be proactive, passionate, and responsible in one’s leadership role, thus forming coherence of the unit so that subordinates can concentrate on combat training missions.

Additionally, Commander expected all officers to devote themselves in managing unit matters, to properly use its resources to gain a grasp of all task situations, and to accurately implement combat training missions such as: weapons preparation, shooting practices, fitness combat training and development of professional skillsets. Finally, through goal management and utilization of resources, the gradual establishment of the unit’s solid combat strength is expected.
