Commander of Military Police Command, Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi, inspected the military police troop in the northern area yesterday. He requested units to fully implement the warehouse and inventory management of ordnance, ammunition, stolen goods and evidence as well as forensic science equipment. He pointed out shading materials can be used in the warehouse when it is appropriate to block out sunshine in order to reduce the temperature inside the warehouse and improve the storage condition for the items in the warehouse. In addition, he particularly highlighted forensic science equipment is essential for military police to perform investigation. All the wall charts, floor plans, and lists of books of inventory in the warehouse should be in the same specification as that in the ordnance and ammunition rooms to maintain the discipline of warehouse and inventory management.
Commander Chou pointed out the main commanding officers should focus on the affairs in the camp and the care of all the soldiers. Besides, they should make good use of the established organizations to supervise the tidiness of the environment, personnel’s dress code, and the security of the camp to maintain smooth internal management. Meanwhile, he reminded each unit that national army should go beyond personal, regional, and political relationship and hold an attitude of political neutrality according to law. Moreover, they should educate all the subordinates the meaning of political neutrality whenever there is a gathering to further strengthen the faith of soldiers loving people and protecting our country.
In the end, Commander Chou encouraged all the subordinates to be proud of being military police and carry the spirit of integrity and self-disciplined to make strict demands to themselves all the time as well as support the three armed force with passion. In peacetime, information collected through the safety investigation of the areas near the management (camp) area, the analysis of patterns that tend to cause security hazards, and the hot spots of traffic accidents should be actively provided to the friendly forces nearby for their reference and adoption in order to eliminate the risks of security-hazard incidents in the troop and further enhance the combat capabilities of defense.
