Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant General Chou Kuang-Chi hosted the Annual Combat Force Task Planning Meeting yesterday. During the meeting, he used the “Failure in the Siege of Jinling” as an example, which is an excerpt from the Diligence section of “The Way of Training Troops”, to encourage the officers to be diligent and proper in the execution of regulations and instructions, to accurately conduct work division, and to supervise the completion of each task by performing management by wandering around, thereby allowing diligence to become a norm.
Commander Chou indicated that “A combat force shall prioritize battle over anything else, and that during a battle all must prioritize winning”. Therefore, battle training and preparations is the essential task of a soldier, and only through consistent training can one become a formidable force to maintain the safety of our homes. Commander Chou stressed that officers shall never be content with the present. Instead, one should continue to acquire new knowledge, to become even better, thereby preparing oneself to effectively respond to any changes by the enemy nation.
