Reported By: HUANG, Te-Jie / Summary Report

In order to understand the training status of the subordinates’ teams, Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant-General Huang, Chin-Tsai, accompanied by Commander Colonel Lee of the Military Police Training Center (MPTC) as well as other officers, went over to the Anping Barracks and Combat Training Field of the MPTC for an inspection, emphasizing that “safety” shall be taken as priority when training, and that all relevant equipment should be well prepared prior to each class, thereby realizing risk management, completely eradicating all risk factors in training, and ultimately achieving the demand of “personal safety, property safety, as well as zero risk to safety.”

When encouraging participating crucial combat strength appraisers, Commander Huang indicated that, since soldiers are always positioned in a high pressure condition during the training period; and, due to the scorching heat, all soldiers must be well aware to constantly replenish plenty of water and nutrition, thereby ensuring the safety of each personnel as well as the stability in training effectiveness. Additionally, because all soldiers are the crucial combat strength for the military police as well as the entire military forces, one shall always maintain a sense of honor and mission, to be consistent in training so that one is always kept in the best condition, allowing one to effectively exert combat strength when necessary.

Afterwards, Commander Huang and company immediately inspected the single combat comprehensive training course for echelon 109-3 (volunteer soldiers). While conducting task instruction, Commander Huang encouraged all trainees to boldly take on any challenge and to see everything through without forgetting why they are here in the first place. If an issue arises, a soldier shall actively seek assistance from officers. On the other hand, officers shall possess the patience, the love, and the empathy necessary to truly care for the trainees, while also actively maintain a good understanding of every situation to effectively eliminate any risk factors that could endanger training safety. Additionally, Commander Huang encouraged those that transitioned to officers at their own will to set sergeant majors or colonel (or higher in rank) as their goal, to fully devote into one’s work to become one with many achievements, thereby honoring oneself and their family.

At the end of the scheduled visit, Commander Huang especially stressed that only combat teams with clear and strict military discipline will have solid combat strength, and therefore all soldiers must fully realize all requirements of military discipline and regulations. Especially being a member of the military police, one shall be self-disciplined at a higher standard, in which one shall always be aware of the actions take and the words spoken, to always be self-disciplined, thereby maintaining the honor of the military. Also, because of the heat and humidity during summer, all units shall thoroughly implement all heat prevention measures so that the safety and effectiveness of training can be ensured, ultimately securing the overall combat strength of the combat team.
