Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant-General Huang, Chin-Tsai, accompanied by Major Sergeant Chiu as well as commanders and officers of various districts went over to the Southern Testing Center of the Army to inspect the military police sniper team, emphasizing that one single bullet is enough to determine the outcome of a battle, stressing that they are the key combat strength for the armed forces as well as being a key link in asymmetric warfare. Therefore, all members shall regard their duty and value with the highest importance, fully devote in training, securing combat strength, thereby fulfilling one’s role as a sniper.
Commander Huang indicated that there are no shortcuts in training stressing that only through one’s full devotion into training, which should be executed step by step pragmatically. From oneself, to the unit, to the entire team, all trainings shall be conducted continuously, thereby allowing one to gradually accumulate combat strength. Also, training requires method and motivation, therefore one shall not remain unchanged; officers shall act as an example, leading the team to strive towards improvement.
Commander Huang also pointed out that training shall never be put on hold. In regards to new recruits or those demonstrating unstable performance, continuous and gradual training methods shall be implemented, and training the weaker areas of the individual shall be the focus. Through the proper training method, training purpose and its effectiveness can thus be achieved. On another note, after each training and review, a discussion shall be implemented to go over the strengths and weakness, thereby strengthening the training plan and subsequent behavior, pragmatically accumulating the combat strength of the combat force.
“Safety is the basis for the combat strength of the combat force,” Commander Huang stressed. Under a high pressure training environment, all officers shall be aware of the mental stability and physical conditions of the soldiers, making proper adjustments whenever necessary. Especially in the recent days with such high temperature and heat, one shall take notice of risk management, thereby securing the safety of the combat force as well as maintaining training effectiveness.
