Military Police Command Commander Lieutenant-General Huang, Chin-Tsai, accompanied by Major Sergeant Chiu, Command 204 Commander Colonel Cheng and other officers, went over to the Huoniu Shooting Range at Zuoying yesterday to inspect the training status of the military police sniper team. Aside from affirming their hard work in training, team bonuses and rice dumpling were distributed to wish everyone a very happy Dragon Boat holiday weekend in advance. Additionally, Commander Huang anticipated all to be at one’s best during exams and not miss any shots.
Commander Huang emphasized that snipers are the key combat strength in modern combat as well as a crucial link in asymmetric warfare, encouraging soldiers to treat the notion of “one against all” as the goal, in which one shall devote firmly into daily training so that one can utilize one’s full potential in the satisfaction of the mission demands.
Commander Huang indicated that there are no secret shortcuts in terms of sniper training. Therefore, one will only attain familiarity through rigorous training as well as overcoming all unfavorable conditions. Also, one shall be determined in upholding the notion of “fear no hardship, fear no adversity, fear no heat,” thereby maintaining the familiarity and fluency of both the weapons as well as the shooting techniques so that one can ultimately enjoy the happiness and accomplishment associated with victory. Additionally, team members shall always encourage one another, to strengthen one’s ability to perform under pressure, to maintain the attitude of “aspirations are in me” in always trying to better oneself, breaking one’s limit, establishing a lean and mean combat strength, thereby achieving the demand of national security.
Commander Huang pointed out that all training discipline must be strictly abided, with “safety” as the foundation. Especially during the scorching summer heat, one shall be aware of one’s physical conditions, fully realize heat prevention measures to ensure the healthiness of the personnel; and the completeness of the combat strength. Also, since the Dragon Boat holiday weekend is just around the corner, Commander Huang especially reminded all soldiers that “discipline and safety have no off days,” therefore all soldiers must strictly adhere to all military discipline requirements, to properly devise all schedules, to avoid being in crowded places, as well as to abide by the government’s disease prevention measures, thereby achieving the goal of “safety during holidays, safe return to base.”
